37. Son: Remember, son, you are his lad and that you mean much to your dad. He reared you and sent you to school and earned your keep with plow and tool. You owe him much for all he gave to make you honest, smart and brave. To make you strong...he shared his good home, love and name. And, shielded you from harm and shame. Fill his last days with peace and joy... To him you will always be his little boy. 38. Failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough. 39. Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly ever notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.
Many years ago in the early 70s, Al developed the following Dynamic Success Guide. Use them and your world will change. 1. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. 2. We become what we think about. 3. Think positive about EVERYTHING. 4. Set a distinct goal. 5. Look at your goal 3 times a day - Think of it often. 6. The opposite of courage is conformity, don't conform. 7. Think you are successful, and act successful. 8. Believe it is impossible not to succeed. 9. Ask your subconscious mind for help. 10. Be calm and cheerful at all times. 11. Compliment every person you meet. 12. Think nice things about every person you are going to meet. 13. Dream and act the person you want to be. 14. Have COMPLETE FAITH in yourself. 15. Eliminate Hatred, Envy, Jealousy, Selfishness and Criticism of Everyone. 16. Mix emotion with thought you put in selfconscious. 17. All you need is GOALS and FAITH." 18. There are no limitation to the mind except those we acknowledge. 19. Establish a Faith Period - Set aside thirty golden minutes each morning to engage in meditation and planning. 20. Day by Day in every way, I am getting bettet and better. Repeat this often aloud. 21. In order to change, you have got to change. 22. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so shall he be." 23. Let God guide you. Get yourself out of the way and let the great universal creative mind of God give you direction - have Faith! 24. Crystallize your Goals. Decide on specific goals that you want to achieve and keep them before you each day. 25. Make a Plan of Action. Develop a blueprint for achieving your goals and a target date for their accomplishment. 26. Develope a Burning Desire. Desire for the things you want in life will motivate you to action. 27. Believe in yourself. You can accomplish anything, if you believe you can. You have God-given talents and abilities - use them. 28. Never give up. Success cannot elude a will that stays in existence in spite of the pressures of advesity. Success comes to persistent people. 29. It may require changing your entire way of life to apply the Dynamic Success Plan, but remember, successful men do the things that failures never get around to doing.
