| Eureka Gold - a dream which grew from the hopes and aspirations of businessman, Al Theriac. In 2003, the road to that dream opened up for Al and his wife, Dolores, and they took that road and made it happen.
Al first entered the real estate field in the early 60s with Al Theriac Realty. In the 70's he left real estate to begin ATCO Chemical Company in Shreveport.
In the 80's, Al opened 16 fashion jewelry stores throughout the south and was also very successful in the import/export jewelry business. Then in the late 80's he entered the field of long-distance telephone service. He retired in the mid-90s, waiting patiently for his wife, Dolores, to retire.
Dolores was an employee of the Shreveport VA Medical Center for almost 35 years. At the time of her retirement, she was Purchasing Agent for the Acquisition and Materiel Management Service at the medical center.
After Dolores' retirement, they spent two years traveling around the U.S.A. and Canada in their new motorhome. At this time, Al realized he wanted to reenter the world of real estate.
Al attended Adams Real Estate School and went on to complete his broker studies in Baton Rouge, LA at Bob Baker's School of Real Estate. He is a member of the Board of Realtors, national, state and local NWLAR chapter. Al is a member of the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) for Shreveport/Bossier City.
Both are also licensed Louisiana Notarys Public.
Al has been a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason since 1964 and an El Karuba Shriner since 1964. He became a Master Mason at age 21 and is still a member of Cache Lodge No. 235 in Clarendon, Arkansas, his home town. His wife, Dolores, is the office manager for Eureka Gold Real Estate and she is a member of Daughters of the Nile Khafra Temple #121 in Shreveport.
Al has now been an active RealtorŪ for almost five years and has found so much joy and satisfaction in assisting first time home buyers, single parents and several evacuees from Hurricane Katrina. He hopes to continue in the field of real estate for many years to come.
